TMNet - Slow connection to international links #5
I thought that it got better.
But it got worse in these two days.
Can't even connect to yum repositories.
Youtube is hopeless.
mIRC too.

Hopeless.

They don't even bother to put updates on the status of internet connection on their main site.

TMNut - I know what they did last winter
What have they done to my connection?
p2p connection to international peers is ZERO!
Even worse than what they did last time.
I want my money back.
If they think that people use broadband for e-mail and browsing only, then #$%^ it.
Probaly Youtube and online gaming are the only reason for having broadband connection, both of which I rarely use at all.

TMNet - Slow connection to international links #3
Instead of getting better, it's getting worse. I can barely connect to websites outside Malaysia. Only google related sites such as blogspot and gmail can be accessed normally. Other than that, forget it.

TMNet - Slow connection to international links #2
I wonder for how long this problem would continue. Yes, probably the damage to the submarine cables was very severe that it would take long time, and also massive amount of money to restore the facilities, but it's kind of torture to us internet users, that we're now back to those old days, when we're still stuck with good-old-dial up. Good, slow and steady internet connection... Good bye Youtube, good bye graphic intensive websites.

To be fair, TMNet should let us pay only half of the monthly subscribtion fee because of this problem. However, I doubt they would do so.

I want back my fast connection to Japan.

My Sakura site ranked 3rd :p

It's been for quite some time that I didn't really bother with Card Captor Sakura site that I created way back in 2001 (I was yuisama back then), but somehow, today I went to my good old site. Ha ha it still looked good though the layout looked out of place on my LCD. After that I was curious at this one link at the bottom of main page. Oh well it was a link to CCS websites ranking. It still exists huh? Well lets see... oh this one website ranked at 3rd place looked familiar. Wait, that's my site! My site is currently ranked 3rd!!! Well it was somewhere 100+ something back then in 2001 :p Nice achievement uh?

TMNet - Slow connection to international links
When I was on my usual late night surfing last night, there was a sudden slowdown in internet connection, mostly for US based sites and Japanese sites. I was wondering what actually happened, which I though it was probably that TMNut started throttling my HTTP connection just like they did for P2P. But after all it was something inavoidable, since what actually happened was that the earthquake in Southern Taiwan caused such disruption in internet connection; Full statement from TMNet. After all, I was too skeptic...
